Cultural Appropriation

I listened to a conversation in which it was discussed whether or not white musicians should play jazz music, since it originated in the black community. Apparently, some people label white people playing jazz music as "cultural appropriation" - meaning the inappropriate adaption of parts of one culture by another culture.

My first thought regarding this discussion and towards the use of this term was: Should then black people not be allowed to play football anymore since this game originated in white communities? One could easily imagine the uproar that such a claim would cause. Which shows how bizarre the whole concept of cultural appropriation is - causing a deeper division between different communities and backgrounds in society instead of unifying them. It's "twisted thinking," trying to identify exploitation at every corner because you want to see it, not because it is there. And by doing so, saying black is white and white is black - an approach that is truly demonic in its origin.
